On Saturday, May 3, Northwoods Landscape, Supply & Nursery held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate their grand opening. Plenty of supporters were on hand to assist with the festivities.
Co-owners Ryan Abraham and Greg Schell are happy to be open for business. “We’ve been working hard all winter to get ready for today and the season,” said Shell. Abraham added, “We’re so excited to finally be open. We have big plans to be a part of the community, and hope that people will come out and see all the changes and additions that we continue to make.”
The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce helped perform the ribbon cutting. “We remember when the guys came in to join last fall, they were so excited about their new venture, it’s really gratifying to see the result of all their hard work,” commented Chamber managing director, Janel Walmsley.
The nursery is completely chemical free with a very large selection of annual, perennials, vegetables, trees, shrubs, herbs, and hanging baskets. They offer full service landscaping with landscape design, bricks, pavers, bulk soils and mulch, antiques and home goods. The nursery is located at 368 North Wilbur Road, Tawas City.
