On Friday, April 4th, Tractor Supply Company held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new East Tawas business. Plenty of supporters were on hand, including many city and township officials to assist with the festivities.
Store manager Angie Green is happy to be open for business. “Everyone in the community has been so cooperative and supportive, it really means a lot to us to have so many of the area’s leaders here to help us open our store.”
The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce helped perform the ribbon cutting. “We’re very pleased to welcome Tractor Supply to our community and Chamber family. This wonderful business addition brings both jobs and enables our community to shop locally,” commented Chamber managing director, Shelley Buresh.
Tractor Supply was established in 1938 and has grown to include 1,276 stores in the U.S. They now focus on providing unique products to support a rural lifestyle, from welders and generators to animal care products and men and women’s work wear.
