German Brown Trout, rainbow trout, walleye, pike and bass abound for the best fishing around. The 415,000 acre forest contains all the wildlife native to Michigan and it has a 220 mile shore to shore trail that crosses the state from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. This makes the area ideal for hiking, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, hunting or just plain relaxation. Water crafts are available from May - October, weather permitting.* Rental of water crafts is from 8:00 - 3:00 with all crafts off the river by 6:00 p.m.
