Those agencies are Hale Youth Activities, Huron Hockey and Skating Association, St. Joseph Health System’s hospice program, Iosco Habitat for Humanity, Catholic Human Services Inc., Child and Family Services of Northeast Michigan, Tawas Area Education Foundation, Hale Area Education Foundation, Shelter Inc., Mitten Bay Council Girl Scouts of America, Lake Huron Council Boy Scouts of America, Iosco County Chapter American Red Cross, Iosco County 4-H and Tawas FISH, Inc.
All contributions to the organization are fully deductible on federal income tax returns for those who itemize deductions, according to T-W-H United Fund President John Lorenz.
The local United Way Board of Directors is made up of all volunteers. The United Fund thermometer will be erected at the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce.
Donations may be made to Tawas-Whittemore-Hale United Fund, P.O. Box 28, East Tawas, MI 48730.
