Native Americans of the Great Lakes Mondays, July 17 and 24 9:30 – 11:30 A.M.
The role of Great Lakes Native American tribes in America’s early history, from the first European settlements through the American Revolution, will be addressed in this class. What happened at Michilimackinac was much more important to our early history than we’ve traditionally been taught. Discussions will be based on Michael McDonnell’s book, Masters of Empire: Great Lakes Indians and the Making of America, and other background readings. Learn how the Great Lakes Indians forever impact our lives.
