TBYC Opti Sailing Regatta

2017 USODA MIDWEST CHAMPIONSHIP               

The Tawas Bay Yacht Club will welcome young sailors ages 8 to 15 years old from around the Midwest and beyond to compete on Tawas Bay in the 2017 USODA Midwest Championship.  The competitor’s boat, the Optimist Dinghy, is the largest one-design sailing class in the world.  We can expect over 40 young sailors, several coaches, and each sailor’s family to attend.  The volunteer organizers, race committee and race officers will run a regatta showcasing TBYC and the Tawas area.  As many as 200 adults and children will visit this area for the regatta.
