The Chamber celebrated its members and accomplishments at our Annual Meeting on Wednesday evening, November 8 at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort. Annual reports were distributed, we re-elected two incumbent directors (Jeff Hutchison of the Tawas Area Schools and Jay Jacobs, of Consumers Energy) and we elected one new director (Lisa Ernst of Gracik and Gracik). We were thrilled to present the 2017 Prosperity in Business award to O’Connors and the 2017 Strength in Community award to Klenow’s Market. Keynote Speaker, Matt Rassette, shared some of the basics of generational differences and communicating across generational lines; we hope to have him back in Tawas to provide additional training in 2018.
