Come to Inn2Art Instruction to take classes in art, from drawing to mixed media to painting to textiles.  Barbara was trained at the University of Michigan Museum of Art in the fine arts as well as textile and fiber arts in college at Eastern Michigan University.  The combination of her education and work experience make her uniquely qualified to teach in many mediums.  Barbara specializes in developing an artists’ unique style, discovering the inner artist we all have.  One of her most rewarding programs is in Spirit Painting Art Therapy.  She has helped many troubled people through art expression.  Other workshops offered are Palette Knife, Perspective, Sketching to Paint, Color Theory, Composition Development, Plein Air Painting (in the moment outdoor painting), Abstract Painting, Basic Encaustic Painting (in hot wax), Fresco Painting (in wet plaster), Mixed Media Collage.  Of course she also offers Basic Drawing, Figure Drawing, Pastel Drawing, Basic Watercolor, Basic Acrylic and Oil Painting.  She is available for individual lessons where she tweaks your already developed talents or can instruct you in the basics. Barbara Wasserman approached Tawas St. Joseph Hospital about an art show in 2006. Today, the Huron Shoreline Art Show is in its fourth exhibit and Barbara is featured there with 35 other artists from the region. 

Barbara regularly lectures on the importance of art in schools, how to understand art, and how to incorporate art in your life.  She also lectures on the psychology of color and how we use art every day.  Also, her in depth, well informed tours of the art shows are not to be missed.
