Branham’s Jewelry celebrated the completion of their move and renovation project that has completely transformed the entry to the Newman Street shopping district in East Tawas. The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce was on hand this past Thursday to congratulate the Branham family and staff with a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate their Grand Re-Opening.
“We come together today to celebrate a much anticipated addition to our downtown business district” stated Shelley Buresh, Chamber co-managing director. She continued, “More importantly, we’re here because of over fifty years of hard work and commitment of the Branham family to the Tawas community. We thank them for their dedication, the amazing transformation of this building, and for being an anchor for our business community.”
Owners Ken and Joyce Branham, along with their family including their parents, spouses and children, were thrilled to showcase their new store to the events guests. In addition to nearly 100 guests, other attendees on hand to congratulate the Branham Family were State Senator Jim Stamas, State Representative Peter Pettalia, both East Tawas and Tawas City Mayors (Bruce Bolen and Ken Cook, respectively), City Managers (Blinda Baker and Annge Horning).
Joyce Branham remarked that all the hard work has been worth it. “The positive comments we have received from countless people kept us motivated to work harder than ever to make not only our family but also the community proud of the new store.” Ken Branham continued “Giving back to our community is what our parents have instilled in us since they opened the business more than 50 years ago. It has been the vision of our design team and the incredible support of our staff, contractors, and family and friends that have helped to make all of this a reality.”
