About the Chamber

The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1947 and later combined the Tawas and East Tawas Chambers of Commerce into a single unit with a mission to promote business, economic growth and civic development in the Tawas Bay area.

Today, the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce continues to promote and service the entrepreneurial needs of its business members, enjoying more than 50 years of success.

As Tawas Bay's primary information source, our staff answers hundreds of inquiries monthly from prospective and existing businesses, transferees, the news media and visitors nationwide.

Our board of directors shapes and measures the organization's goals regularly to best serve the ever-changing priorities of our membership.

Our active members volunteer countless hours in helping the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce carry out its commitment to enhancing the overall business climate of the Tawas Area.

Together, this Tawas business team is dedicated to strengthening the growth and economic development of our business community, and maintaining our position as northeast Michigan's dynamic business center.
