In less than one-year, the Harbor Lights Pregnancy and Information Center outgrew their former space in Baldwin Township and has relocated to downtown East Tawas to better serve its clients.
“We have experienced an overwhelming growth in need and services for the families we care for,” shared Center Manager Sharon Koenitzer. “We are truly blessed to have a wonderful staff of employees and volunteers who are dedicated to providing education, guidance and support for our young mothers and fathers who come to us for assistance.”
In early December, the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce assisted with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate their new location. Shelley Buresh, managing director of the Chamber shared, “for the past five years, and now its third location, Harbor Lights has served our community as a non-profit organization. The growing need for the care they provide is obvious in their continued growth and success. On behalf of our entire community, we thank them for the wonderful care and services they provide.”
The mission of the Center is to provide pregnancy and parental choices, educational resources and spiritual support for the development of healthier children, families and communities. The services offered are free of charge and all are welcome.
